Alexandria is best visited October to April when Mediterranean temperatures are 20-28°C. Summer can be humid and crowded with local tourists. Winter has occasional rain but the city has a romantic mood in the mist. Avoid Sundays when the Bibliotheca and some museums have reduced hours or closures.
