Can I visit Luxor by train from Cairo?

Luxor is divided by the Nile — the East Bank (Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple) is grand and ceremonial, the West Bank (Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple) is burial and mortuary. Your Bodda tour covers both sides over 2 days. Start West Bank early to beat the heat at the Valley of the Kings.
Valley of the Kings Tips
The Valley of the Kings has over 60 tombs — your ticket covers 3 tombs (excluding Tutankhamun). Enter early (6 AM opening) to avoid crowds and heat. Photography is not allowed inside tombs. The most decorated tombs are Ramesses III, Ramesses IV, and Ramesses VI if you want vibrant wall paintings.
Hot Air Balloon
The sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings is unforgettable — book in advance with your Bodda guide ($80-100 extra). The launch is at dawn with views of both banks, the Nile, and the desert mountains. Weather-dependent — early morning flights are most reliable October to April.
